✪ Coral Sea History ✪
March 14, 1952 - Operating in the Virginia Capes area, USS Coral Sea was hit by a tropical storm. The eighty to ninety foot seas sent green water over the bow up to the third level of the island. The ship rolled 43 degrees, hesitated, shook a little, and rocked back.

Membership to the USS CORAL SEA CVA-43 ASSOCIATION is open to all Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force personnel who served aboard the ship USS CORAL SEA (CV/CVB/CVA-43).
