July 2, 1975 - USS Coral Sea returns after her eleventh 6th Fleet WESTPAC.
July 2, 1970 - USS Coral Sea headed for Hunter’s Point Naval Shipyard where the ship underwent a $44-million extensive overhaul including improved habitability, the installation of a Navy Tactical Data System, elevator improvements, and other repairs.
